George: the grin of the new Flickers

A Taste of Greece in our team!

Greek table soccer player George Papadopoulos has signed to play next season with Flickers Milan.

George who started playing again in 2004, is very well-known on the international circuit. He has been playing for many years with Olympia Club Subbuteo, winning IO and satellites tournaments in Greece. With his team, they reached several finals at GP and Majors tournaments.  Outside of Greece semi-finalist at Amsterdam Major and 4th position in Europa league in Slovenia 2011.  

Best season on 2014, when George had the honour to wear the jersey of his national veteran team.  

As individual titles, George won IO in veteran category and reaching finals in Major tournaments in Greece. Several victories as well outside his home country, satellites, Waspa tournaments, 3 times open GPs in Finland, 2 IO veteran in Denmark, etc.

Now living in Helsinki Finland, where table soccer is not popular, George has decided to dive into the competitive Italian league and help Flickers Milan for the next challenging season.

He said: “I am really honoured to play in an Italian team which first believe in friendship and the person, and then to the quality of the player, and I will do my best to help promote our team to the 2nd division”
