E' l'ora dell'intervista al
nostro Marco, che nel mondo del cdt e del subbuteo non ha bisogno di
presentazioni.
(That’s the time of the interview to our Marco, who in the
world of cdt and subbuteo needs no introduction)
D: Un ricordo dei tuoi anni agonistici all'epoca del subbuteo. Magari
qualche aneddotto da amarcord per coloro che vissero quei tempi.
Q: A memory of your years at the time of the competitive
Subbuteo. Maybe some “amarcord” anecdote for those who lived those times.
R: L’ambiente era molto diverso,
eravamo tutti dei ragazzini. Un venticinquenne era considerato già un “vecchio”...mi
ricordo che il sottoscritto e “Chicco” Ogno eravamo sempre insieme e ci
divertivamo a fare qualche scherzetto: abbiamo murato vivo qualche juniores
sardo all’hotel Rio di Genova... forse Antonello Piras sta ancora là... e poi
una volta abbiamo tagliato l’unghia (lunghissima) ad un giovanissimo Manu
Licheri mentre dormiva.
Il mio “Maestro” Stefano De
Francesco mi aveva preso in simpatia.. La notte prima della finale dei
campionati italiani a Roma nel 1984 mi sorprese ad ora tarda nella hall dell’albergo,
“cazziandomi” perché a differenza del mio avversario (Massino di Genova) non
ero ancora andato a dormire... il giorno dopo poi, tra il primo ed il secondo
tempo, mi prese da parte portandomi fuori dalla sala di gioco, per farmi il
secondo “cazziatone”, in quanto ero bloccato dall’emozione e non riuscivo a
fare il mio gioco... nella ripresa cominciai finalmente a giocare ma non bastò:
finì 1-1... persi poi all’ultimo dei tiri piazzati. Ma non fu comunque colpa di
quelle ore di sonno mancate.
La nazionale (che al tempo era
davvero un privilegio) conquistata l’anno successivo fu il più bel
riconoscimento... e d’altronde era da quattro partite consecutive che vincevo o
pareggiavo con un certo Renzo Frignani, al tempo Campione del Mondo...
A: The environment was very different, we were all kids. A
twenty-five old player was already considered an "old" ... I remember
myself and "Chicco" Ogno were always together and had fun to do some
trick: we buried alive some Sardinian juniors at the Rio hotel in Genoa ...
maybe Antonello Piras is still there ... and then once we cut the nail (very
long) to a young Manu Licheri while he slept.
My "Master" Stefano De Francesco had taken a
liking to me .. The night before the final of the Italian championships in Rome
in 1984 I was surprised at this late hour in the hotel lobby and he scolded me
because unlike my opponent (Massino from Genoa) I was not yet gone to bed ...
the next day then, between the first and the second time, took me aside taking
me out of the game room, to make me the second "cazziatone", because
I was blocked by emotion and I could not play my game ... in the shot finally
started to play but it was not enough: ended 1-1 ... then lost the last of
placed shots. But it was not, however, because of those hours of lost sleep.
The National Team (which at the time was really a privilege)
conquered the following year was the best reward ... and besides, it was four
consecutive games that I was winning or equalize with some Renzo Frignani,
those time World Champion .
D: Come hai vissuto e stai vivendo l'epoca del calcio da tavolo.
Q: How did you live and you are living the era of table
football.
R: Ci ho messo un po’ di tempo a
capire che era un gioco completamente diverso e
che dovevo dimenticarmi delle
facili vittorie di trent’anni prima..
I materiali hanno reso molto più
importanti l’allenamento, la concentrazione e l’aspetto mentale. A parte alcuni
fenomeni, che vincerebbero comunque con qualsiasi tipo di base, oggi ci sono
decine di giocatori molto forti e centinaia di giocatori molto allenati e
mentalmente caparbi, con i quali se non si è “sul pezzo” si è destinati a
perdere. Oggi non basta avere quel (presupposto) pizzico di “classe” in più...
certo può fare ancora la differenza, ma ci sono altri aspetti molto più
importanti.
Posso comunque dire di
divertirmi ancor più di quando giocavo da ventenne... oggi ogni amichevole è
una battaglia.... bellissimo
!!!
A: It took me a bit ' of time to understand that it was a
completely different game and I had to forget the easy victories of thirty
years before ..The materials have made it much more relevant training ,
concentration and mental aspect .
Apart from some phenomena which would win anyway with any
kind of basis today there are dozens of very strong players and hundreds of
well-trained players and mentally stubborn, with whom if you are not " on
track" you are bound to lose . Today is not enough to have that
(assumption) pinch of " class " in the most ... sure can make a
difference yet but there are other very
important aspects .
However, I can say even more fun when I played twenties ...
today every friendly is a battle .... beautiful !!!
D: L'anno scorso hai deciso di lasciare il campionato di massima serie, per
accettare una sfida con una squadra neo promossa in serie C. Come hai vissuto
questo primo anno dove oltre a fare il giocatore, hai dovuto fare da
allenatore.
Q: Last year you decided to leave the top flight league, to
accept a challenge with a newly promoted team in Serie C. How did you live this
first year where apart from making the player, you had to do as manager.
R: Non ne ho fatto una questione
di “categoria” ma di “ambiente”: cercavo un altro tipo di pressione e dovevo
recuperare autostima.
Non credo a priori che ci siano
ambienti “migliori” di altri. Può tuttavia capitare che in un gruppo si
sviluppino idee o visioni non compatibili. Con i Warriors ci si è lasciati
"da uomini", discutendo apertamente di tutto. Ho passato due anni e
mezzo molto intensi e spesso belli con loro e li ho ringraziati per questo: era
giusto farlo. Ogni ciclo ha il suo termine, presto o tardi.
Quello che trovo triste è invece
quando sento persone lamentarsi continuamente dell’ambiente in cui giocano, dei
loro compagni di squadra, dei torti subiti… ma poi alla fine non hanno il
coraggio di andarsene, per convenienza o per paura... ma si tratta in genere di
giocatori modesti, non solo caratterialmente.
Tornando alla scelta di
cambiare, devo anche confessare che volevo (dovevo) mettermi alla prova come
giocatore. Militavo in categorie che non mi ero conquistato sul campo.
Mettermi alla prova ha anche
significato ri-costruirmi una rete di giocatori con cui allenarmi, cercare di
fare crescere questi miei compagni di allenamento... per loro ma anche per me…
(a questo proposito, un grazie di cuore a tutti i ragazzi del Torino 2009). Mi sono anche allenato da solo all’inizio.
Volevo capire se in serie C
avrei potuto fare la differenza e la risposta è stata positiva, dal momento che
con 0,794 punti per partita sono risultato uno dei primissimi giocatori della
categoria. Mi piace ricordare che nei 17 secondi tempi giocati tra andata e
ritorno ho preso goal soltanto in una occasione, contro Emanuele Lo Cascio. Ho
giocato ogni palla con una concentrazione ed una cattiveria agonistica davvero
totali…
Il mio anno ai Flickers è
sostanzialmente racchiuso in quei due weekend. Ho rinunciato completamente a
giocare tornei individuali, ho giocato pochissimo anche a squadre… il tutto per
arrivare fresco mentalmente e concentrato al massimo all’unico appuntamento che
davvero contava. Ha funzionato alla grande.
Ho cercato di coinvolgere tutti
miei compagni in allenamenti collegiali, dichiarandomi disponibile a viaggiare
per allenarsi insieme... qualcuno ha risposto all’appello... ma si può fare di
più...
Il mio impegno comunque non si ferma al campo... sto
cercando di aiutare il gruppo anche dal punto di vista mediatico (il nostro
Blog è infatti sempre costantemente aggiornato), anche perchè ritengo la comunicazione una elemento
essenziale per giudicare la serietà complessiva di una A.S.D.
Cerco di guardare sempre al
lungo termine e qui ai Flickers il lavoro è appena iniziato.
Vittorio ha grande entusiasmo,
energia e competenza...ma sa anche delegare e valorizzare le qualità e le
attitudini delle persone che sono disposte a dargli una mano.
Stiamo crescendo alla grande,
sia come numero che come rete di relazioni.
Sicuramente molti meccanismi sono ancora da oliare, ma le premesse sono ottime.
A: I have not made it a matter of "category" but
of "environment"… was looking for a different kind of pressure...
...I had to recover self-esteem. I do not think a priori that there are spaces
"better" than others.
However, it may happen that in a group develop ideas or
incompatible visions. With the Warriors we broke up "as men,"
discussing openly about everything. I spent two and a half very intense and
often beautiful years with them and I thank them for this: it was right to do
so. Each cycle has its end sooner or later.
What I find rather sad is when I hear people complain
constantly of the environment in which they play, their teammates, of wrongs
... but in the end they do not have the courage to leave, for convenience or
for fear ... but it is typically of modest players, not only temperamentally.
Returning to the decision to change, I must also confess
that I wanted (I had) to prove myself as a player. A militant in categories
that I had not won on the field.
To test me also meant re-build a network of players with
which to train, try to do these grow my training partners ... for them but also
for me ... (in this regard, a special thanks to all the guy of Torino 2009). I also trained alone at the beginning.I
I wanted to understand if in the C series I could make a
difference and the response has been positive, since with 0.794 points per game
proved one of the earliest players in the category. I like to remember that in
17 seconds played times there and back I got goals only on one occasion,
against Emanuele Lo Cascio. I played every ball with a concentration and a
truly total competitive nastiness ...
My year to Flickers is substantially enclosed in those two
weekends. I gave up completely to play
individual tournaments, I played very little even Team ... all to get fresh
mentally and concentrate the most of the one event that really mattered.
It worked great.I tried to involve all my classmates in
group workouts, declaring myself to travel to train together ... someone has responded to the call ... but you
can do more ...
My commitment, however does not stop at the table field
... I'm trying to help the group also
from a media point of view (our blog is in fact more and constantly updated),
also because I consider communication an essential element for judging the
overall reliability of a ASD. I try to
always look at the long term and here to Flickers the work has just
begun.Vittorio has great enthusiasm, energy and expertise ... but also knows
how to delegate and develop the qualities and talents of people who are willing
to give him a hand. We are growing to the largest, both in number and as a
network of relationships.
Surely many mechanisms are yet to be oiled, but the premises
are excellent.
D: Quest'anno il subbuteo è rientrato come disciplina federale. Come vedi
questa mossa o come pensi reagiranno coloro che di fatto hanno iniziato a
giocare con i materiali moderni.
Q: This year the subbuteo returned as a federal regulation.
How do you see this move or how do you react to those who
actually have started to play with modern materials.
R: Sono andato a Livorno a dare
un’occhiata alla prima edizione dei campionati italiani di subbuteo a squadre…
ho visto un bel clima e per adesso pochi “calciodatavolisti” in relazione al
totale dei giocatori. Io non credo che i top-player di CDT cominceranno in
massa a giocare a subbuteo, anche se sono convinto che diventerebbero presto
dei top anche lì… quello che credo succederà è che il mercato-giocatori del
Calcio da Tavolo sarà fortemente influenzato dal fatto che un giocatore possa
essere un potenziale rinforzo anche a subbuteo.
Dal mio canto, zitto zitto, è
qualche mese che qualche partitina a subbuteo me la faccio con il mio amico
Tony Panizzari. Ho intenzione di tornare a giocare seriamente e da quello che
ho potuto vedere a Livorno credo sarei stato competitivo già in quella
occasione.
Mi è davvero spiaciuto molto che
i Flickers non siano riusciti a presentare la squadra, nonostante fossimo
regolarmente iscritti... ma il destino ha provveduto altrimenti (fusione con il
Lario)... e giocheremo la serie B mettendoci a disposizione di capitan Ciboldi.
Non ci faremo trovare impreparati, questo è sicuro.
A: I went to Livorno to take a
look at the first edition of the Italian subbuteo team championship... I saw a beautiful climate and now a
few "calciodatavolisti" in relation to the total of players. I do not
think the top player of CDT will start en masse to play subbuteo, although I am
convinced that soon would become the top there too ... what I think will happen
is that the market-players Table Football will be strongly influenced by the
fact that a player can be a potential reinforcement also in subbuteo.
For my part, quietly, it has a few months I use to have few
little game of Subbuteo with my friend Tony Panizzari. I'm going to get back to
playing seriously, and from what I could see in Livorno
I think I would be competitive already on that occasion.
I am really very
sorry that Flickers have failed to present the team, even though we were
enrolled... but fate has other provision (merger with the Lario) ... and we
will play the second division by putting at the disposal of Ciboldi captain. We will
not be caught unprepared, that's for sure.
D: Hai deciso anche quest'anno di aiutare i Flickers a combattere in una
serie C che diventa sempre più competitva. Come vedi la la
squadra per la prossima stagione.
Q: You've also decided this year to help Flickers to fight
in a series C that becomes increasingly competitive.
How do you see the team for next season.
R: Vittorio prima di essere il
mio presidente è un amico. Abbiamo discusso insieme per un paio di settimane
sulle nostre aspettative, anche in chiave futura traguardando la stagione che
sta per venire... e poi abbiamo deciso di continuare insieme con grande
entusiasmo questa avventura. Tengo a precisare che ho "firmato"
quando ancora sembrava non riuscissimo ad arrivare ad alcun rinforzo. Sono
davvero molto affezionato a qualche "ragazzaccio" di questo gruppo.
Un gruppo molto sparso territorialmente, tenuto insieme un po' dai
"social" ma soprattutto dal continuo sforzo di Vittorio, che è la
vera anima "collante".
La salvezza in campionato
ottenuta lo scorso anno come neopromossa è stata a mio avviso un grande
risultato, ma quest’anno la concorrenza sarà ancora più forte e la rosa della
scorsa stagione, pur molto rinforzata rispetto a quella che aveva conquistato
la categoria, sarebbe stata fortemente a rischio di lotta per evitare la retrocessione.
Fortunatamente i colpi di mercato del “prez” hanno ulteriormente completato la
squadra, che ora credo sia in grado di iniziare un campionato pur molto
difficile senza però porsi dei limiti in termini di traguardo. Sempre però con
la massima umiltà e concentrazione, perché basta davvero poco per ritrovarsi
invischiati in zona play-out.
Il campionato di C sarà forse
una delle pochissime occasioni in cui vedremo i Flickers con la formazione più
competitiva, per ovvie ragioni di “dispersione territoriale”.
Non dimentichiamoci comunque che
i Flickers hanno ambizioni di giocare diversi tornei internazionali,
possibilmente iniziando a cogliere qualche bella soddisfazione… sicuramente la
squadra che si presenterà ad alcuni appuntamenti europei sarà in genere più
competitiva di quella che si potrà schierare in Italia, dove sarà importante
invece presenziare per coloro che vorranno conquistarsi il posto per San
Benedetto.
Sicuramente l'ingaggio di Paulo
Gouveia e Francesco Riccobene va a completare egregiamente una rosa che l'anno
scorso, in campionato, ha conquistato punti in modo troppo poco bilanciato tra
i giocatori. Era troppo importante salvarsi ed è stato giusto che i punti
andasse a farli chi poteva fornire le maggiori garanzie, ma credo che a
novembre "capitan Genny" avrà a disposizione molte più soluzioni di
schieramento e potremo anche rischiare qualcosa di più.
A: Vittorio before being my president is a friend. We
discussed together for a couple of weeks on our expectations, even in the
future key sighting the season that is about to come .. and then we decided to
continue this adventure together with great enthusiasm.
I should point out that I have "signed" when it
still seemed we fail to come to any reinforcement. I'm really very fond of a
few "bad boy" of this group. A very scattered geographically group,
held together a little 'by "social" but especially by the continuous
effort of Vittorio, who is the very soul "glue."
Salvation in the championship obtained last year as newly
promoted was in my opinion a great result, but this year the competition will
be even stronger and the rose of last season, despite strongly increased
compared to the one that reached the category would be greatly at risk of
struggling to avoid relegation.
Fortunately the market hits the "prez" has further
completed the team, which I think is now able to start a championship despite
very difficult without set limits in terms of achievement. But always with the
utmost humility and concentration, because just very little to find themselves
embroiled in play-out.
The C league will be perhaps one of the few occasions when
we will see Flickers with the most competitive team, for obvious reasons of
"territorial dispersion."
Do not forget however that the Flickers have ambitions to
play several international tournaments, possibly beginning to grasp some great
satisfaction ... definitely the team that will occur at some European events
will be more competitive kind that you can deploy in Italy, where it will be
important instead attend for those who want to
conquer the place for San Benedetto.
Surely the hiring of Paulo Gouveia and Francesco Riccobene
goes very well to complete a rose that last year, in the league, has scored
points so too little balanced between the players. It was too important to be
saved and it was right that the points went to them who could provide more
guarantees, but I think that in November "Captain Genny" will have
many more deployment solutions, and we could also risk something more.
"Allez les bleus !!!"
